Prof. Dr. Sandro Nuno Ferreira de Serpa

Prof. Dr. Sandro Serpa is an assistant professor in the Department of Sociology of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities of the University of the Azores since 2013. He has been a higher education faculty member since 2000. He received his Master’s in Sociology from the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities of the Nova University of Lisbon in 2004, and his PhD in Education, with the speciality in Sociology of Education in 2013, from the University of the Azores. He is an integrated researcher at the Interdisciplinary Centre of Social Sciences of the Azores Centre (CICS.NOVA.UAçores). He has teaching experience in areas such as Research, Sociology of Education, Introduction to Sociology, General Sociology, Sociology of Organisations, Psycho-sociology of Educational Organisations, and Human Resources, among others. He carries out research in the fields of the Teaching of Sociology in Higher Education, Organisational Culture of Educational Organisations, and Scientific Communication. He has more than 90 publications in international journals, books and other scientific outlets.


Lim  Yong-Kwan, Senior Lecturer, Ph.D.

Singapore University of  Social Sciences (SUSS), Singapore

Dr. Lim is currently a Senior Lecturer at the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS), School of Business. She received my Ph.D. in Management Information Systems at the University of Oklahoma (United States). She earned he Bachelors in Computer Science and Masters in Computing (with thesis) from the National University of Singapore. She has taught in France and United States, and has taught undergraduate and graduate Management Information Systems courses. Her current research interests are technology-mediated communications, leadership/gender and entrepreneurship. She has published in well-ranked journals including Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, Journal of Small Business Management (Forthcoming), Information and Organization and Sex Roles: Journal of Research and had several papers accepted at various reputable international and national conferences including ICIS, AOM, AMCIS, PACIS, GDN and JAIS Theory Development Workshop. She also has a book chapter published.

José António Filipe

José António Candeias Bonito Filipe is Assistant Professor with Aggregation at ISCTE-IUL. He is Member of BRU-IUL and ISTAR-IUL Research Centers. His research interests include Mathematics; Statistics; Stochastic Processes - Queues and Applied Probabilities; Game Theory; Applications to Economics, Management, Finance and Social Problems; Environmental and Natural Resource Economics, Tourism, others. He has published more than 250 papers in Scientific Journals and Conference Proceedings, more than 20 book chapters and 7 books. He has presented more than 80 communications in International Scientific Conferences. He has been leadership awarded by a United States Organization. Moreover, 18 scientific papers awarded, other awarded and distinguished academic achievements. He cooperates with many International Journals, Publishing Houses and Conferences. He is invited Professor in several Universities abroad (Spain, Greece, Slovakia, Estonia).


Rashad Elhabob, Lecturer

Passionate about fostering academic development and success for every student. Lecturer, 11/2011 to Current with College of Information and Computer Science, Karary University, Khartoum, Sudan. Received the B.S. degree, in 2010 from the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology, University of Karary, Khartoum, Sudan. In 2014 received the Master degree from Faculty of Mathematical Science, University of Khartoum, Khartoum, Sudan. Currently he is pursuing the Ph.D. degree with the School of Software Engineering, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, Chengdu, China. His current research interests include cryptography and network security. Academic achievement certificate from University of Electronic Science and Technology of China in December 2018.  Editorial board membership in SCIREA Journal of Mathematics.

Xiaoyuan Liang, Ph.D.

Xiaoyuan Liang is a Ph.D. in computer science at New Jersey Institute of Technology, who will join Facebook as a research scientist in machine learning October. Her current research interests are Deep learning and its application in time-series data, spatio-temporal data, intelligent transportation, domain adaption, and dimension reduction, Deep reinforcement learning and its application in intelligent transportation and control systems.
